Hi Guys,
When driving my 03 grande I've noticed there is a slight but noticeable vibration on acceleration, It's quite noticeable through the accelerator but also through the steering wheel (Not as bad though). In general can't really feel it through the floor of the car. I haven't been able to find alot of information on this. Low speeds its not as bad and the moment you let go of the accelerator the vibration disappears. Sometimes when its had a bit of a boot it seems to be less noticable and also depending on the temp.
I've recently had it lifted but the vibration occured prior to the lift. Since the lift thoguh I've noticed on slight acceleration when turning there is vibration through steering (only slight again) but think that may be to to with CV's althought both appear in good condition.
I had the gearbox oil changed about 15,000km ago and from what I recall it wasn't long after that I noticed the vibration. From the research i've done the only suggestion I could find is either Engine Mounts, CV's, Tyres balanced or Gearbox oil change..
Car has done 235,000km and its 10 years old so don't have high expectation, but Great car and when I got it couldn't get over how incredibly well it drove for a 4x4. Maybe I've been spoilt to drive in such comfort im a bit fussy but really its annoying at times and becomes worse after long distance drives.
Just wanted to see if anyone has had this experience.. I'm doubting the Tyre balance as I would have thought when I backed of the accelerator the vibration would be consistent.
Cheers,
Jesse
