now that I own one I upgraded the wiring to the back outlet to 8 ga as I don't believe 15A cable is up to the job (too much voltage drop) - found the auxiliary battery isn't up to the job so have pinched the 100Ah hybrid out of the pajero - the 80Ah supercharge all rounder is now in the paj on solar 24x7 so maybe I can bring it back to life - eventually I will be putting in a proper VSR, I don't believe in simply putting batteries in parallel through a solenoid especially dissimilar ones
Just fitted a new Redarc tow pro elite and a new Brash's multi media system. I have also started stripping and have started painting all of the silver interior trim.
Dropped it off at ARB for new rear locker. Bye bye old Lokka.

Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China.

You started stripping? Well I guess that is one way to pay for mods

They rang me yesterday to advise the carrier bearings were pitted and that there was no back-lash on the centre. That may explain why the Lokka wasn't running properly. New bearings for around $70 seems fair. Compressor has been mounted under the left wing of the ARB bar due to no room in engine bay with an air outlet on the left wing behind the hoop bar. Should pick it up later today.

Christmas has come early thanks to Adventure 4WD in Rockingham.

Will definitely come in handy whilst following behind you on some isolated track, waiting.....

The Lokka was fitted into the diff by a gearbox and diff "specialist" in Rockingham who told me they had done a couple before. I pulled the diff and reinstalled the finished product. I never got any tolerance measurements from them unlike with the ARB job. Put it down to experience I suppose. I'm already enjoying the return to a smooth drive. No more clicking, clunking.
