Mine's been a bit expensive recently...
I put in a set of injectors - much quieter now.
Then found a leak from the water pump. - replaced that
Now on the way to Fraser, (my son has borrowed the car), there's a leak in one of the fuel pipes to the injectors, so am looking for a dealer that can do a replacement job tomorrow in Brissie - all in a week!Greg - 08 D4D Prado,
Some trips done - Cape York, Fraser Island, Simpson Desert / Central Aust, Vic High Country.

Smelt it first. Then found the waterpump. After replacing thought all was well. Son rang up this arvo saying there was a pool of fuel when he stopped at the garage. She was a bit thirsty too. Went down to 3/4 of the second tank, going to the Gold coast from full.Greg - 08 D4D Prado,

Took a drive up to a Gloucester and picked up my Drifta Drawers with Fridge slide and pullout table. They lent me their 76 series cruiser for a couple of hours and gave me a couple of vouchers for a coffee in town whilst they fitted it. Jolly decent of them. I'd forgotten how uncomfortable the driving position is in those things. We are spoilt in the modern trucks

Had 150,000 km service done today. Really only a standard oil and filter change.
Asked for the brake fluid to be changed and diff oils also.
Reported to me that the disc pads were near the wear bars and rotors would need machining.
Told the service manager that I was happy with this acknowledgement as I have new components to go on in place of the worn items.
The tech also reported that both rocker covers had oil weep at the front end, something I have been annoyed with and monitoring for a while now.
Not yet lifted the hood (To Late Home) but happy with the job so far.
Cheers
