Bolted to the floor pan just ahead of the rear diff above the drive shaft. Supposed to be replaced every 20,000km.

Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China.
Put my new pioneer platform and all the other bits on and wired up my lights again. After drilling a bunch of holes in it for the light bar and maxtrax pins.
Also packed the car up ready to go camping tomorrow

04 Silver Diesel GXL with lots of stuff
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
2007 GXL V6 - ARB Bullbar with LED lights, snorkel, extractors, 2 1/4" dual exhaust, K&N filter, dimpled/slotted rotors, headrest dvd players, Ebay Satnav/reverse camera, GME 3100TX, Tigerz11 Side awning on custom brackets with Maxtrax mounts, 300W Invertor, ARB Underbody protection, Lightbar and STZ 265/70 tyres.
Wish list in order I'll get them: Sliders, 2" lift, E-locker, Winch bar with winch.
Installed new bonnet gas struts I got off fleabay. I've had a few too many close calls with the old ones. Also got my hands on 2 K&N HP-1002 oil filters, and if weight is anything to go by, they are much heavier than the Ryco filters. A sturdier construction with the ability to wrench off, as I'd rather avoid having to use a screwdriver and hammer. Castrol Magnatec 10W-40 was dirt cheap at Supercheap at $19 for 5L (with a limit of 2 per customer), so I plan on flushing the engine with oil as opposed to additives.
Just returned from a 7 week vacation and found the starter battery dead as a door nail. Fired her up with the Aux batt and found the map light had been left on (bugga!) Took the old girl for a bit of a drive to give it some volts, but still unsure if the damage is already done. Will check it out tomorrow...
Follow on from my flat Optima which is sitting on 5.8V due to a map light being left on for a number of weeks. Headed down to Repco and picked up a 7 Stage Battery Charger which was on special. I went for the 16Amp jobbie which was 40% off Lets see if it can recover my 5mth old D27.
Craig, I flattened my Optima some time ago after leaving the Prado sitting parked for a few weeks with a radio on, battery was at 1v, I put my 20 year old 4 amp low tech single stage battery charger on it for a couple of days and it seemed to recover just fine, holds 12.9 volts now without issue.
Cheers Andrew

Thanks Andrew. Fingers crossed she'll recover then. I've slipped my 105A/Hr over to the starting side which I'll keep in situ for a couple of days whilst the batt recovers.
I had the same story 7 weeks away and my 3 yo 27F reading under 1v. 24 hours on the C-teck and she's as good as new and still going strong after a couple of weeks.
Cheers Jim.
