After reading about the led interior light upgrade for the 120 series i bought a complete set from the LED Lad, $45 for about $10 worth of globes, but it saved a lot of stuffing around on ebay. I have installed the 2 pads for the roof and rear lights, its tricky to get the spring fitting to lock in to the globe slots. The map light replacement was not easy, getting the old bayonet globes out the biggest problem, i crushed one globe with the pliers but at least the replacement led works in that slot. The drivers side led does not light up, i have taken the whole roof console out and all the wiring seems ok. Could i have blown the on /off switch? If it was on when i put the led in could it fry the switch? The drivers side door courtesy light also does not work after i took out the wedge globe and put in the wedge led. Im thinking i should have disconnected the battery but i didnt think it was necessary. I emailed Led Lad but got no reply, no instructions for fitting either. Any ideas why these dont work?

Yes , just what AMTS said, take out the globe an turn it around, just use your fingers ,if not working, pull the little exposed wire out a it and refit them
LED only work one way, positive and negative have to match, spin em around and they'll work, great upgrade thought, every one that sees mine say there too bright, I love emYou take the highway..I'll take the by way

Ok, i have the door led wedge globes working after turning them around but the map light above the driver is not, i noticed there is a circuit board under the switch and globe holder and i have possibly burnt something out by using a screw driver to try and get the old globe out. I should have disconnected the battery before poking around with pliers and screwdrivers. It would have been handy to get some sort of instruction from the supplier Led Lad.
There is also a large amount of wires hooked into the wiring plugs for the separate globes. i do not understand why 2 map light globes would need all those wires, i have a GX, would all those extra wires and circuit board be for a DVD or sunroof control in the Grande? The new led globe just needs a positive and negative wire and a switch, it's no big deal that only one map light works but i know it will annoy me, any ideas what i could do?
