Hi Guys,
Couldn't find anything related on the forum on a search so hoping i'm not doubling up here. This is the first car i've ever jacked up with a trolley jack myself and just wanting to clarify something if it's only this car or something i'm doing wrong.
When I jack up the front of the car at the designated jack point (just behind the oil sump) the car goes on a lean. It doesn't seem like the angle would be enough for it to fall off the jack etc but it just seems bizzarre to me... i would've thought it would have fairly evenly distributed weight on the vehicle. The angle could be as much as maybe 25-30 degrees just off the top of my head.
Does anyone else experience this when they are jacking? The rear jackpoint on the rear diff housing seems to keep the vehicle much more straight aligned.
Just to clarify the jack stands I have the car on are all set to the same height and the car doesn't stay on that angle when i'm under it but when dropping down onto the stands it can be a little tricky also because one side drops before the other.
Any thoughts appreciated!
Cheers
Wes
