Dealership Disappointment

Hi all,
Just received my new Prado D4D GXL after a 7 month wait, (after being told I would only have a 3 month wait once Isigned up) and have to vent about how disappointed I am with the Toyota Dealer. I am stoked about my car (especially after the wait) but having waited 7 months the dealer still couldn't sort out ordering and fitting ARB deluxe bullbar. I now have to wait another 2 weeks (or that's what they've told me!) before it will be fitted. One small thing, which was the icing on the cake, was when I went to pick up the car my BFG tyres had been fitted with the white writing facing inwards. I am told you have to specify if you want it facing outwards. After this whole experience I will seriously be thinking about not using this WA dealer again.
I still have a smile from ear to ear with my new prado and look forward to accessorising it to the max.

Welcome to Pradopoint Parra and to the world of never ending accessorising the Prado. I received my Prado (only a short 3 month wait). I also ordered the ARB Winch Bar to be fitted for the Prado on pickup, but ARB has had major issues with supply and demand of these bars. I waited another 4 weeks to get it and I must admit it is fantastic.

Good luck with the Prado and there will be no doubt you are about to delve into the world of "Where/when is the next trip". Enjoy the WA boys from Pradopoint, they have a wealth of knowledge and can help out with advice where needed.

Just watch out for the little one. You will get to know him well. Great bunch of guys.

Hi Parra,

Welcome to Pradopoint.

Been there as well had to wait 5 months after being told only 3 month wait.

The hard parts over you've got the car so you can put the dealer in the back of your mind and come adventuring with the W.A Pradopointers and i will guarantee you will forget them after your first outing :wink:

I picked the car up on friday at 2pm hooked up the camper and went camping at Dwellingup that arvo I had a great weekend despite the rain.
Look forward to many more trips.

Ehhhhhhhhhhh????? You guys lost me as well... and I know what to expect..... At least I thought so... Say.... you guys didn't treat your Prado interiors with some type of strong vaporous resin did you??

What I came to realize Parra was that my dealer simply didn't give a damn. Once I accepted that, I knew how to approach them and what to expect. Sayyyyyy.... your dealer wasn't northern suburbs by any chance was it??

I don,t like to give away to much but it was more towards the southern suburbs.
I think the best thing to do is not give them any more of my service and thats where it will really hit them.
I will be on the look out for a good authorised toyota service workshop to do my servicing .
