Hello from Atlanta, Ga
I am new to the group and need help determining what replacement key I need to buy and hopefully were for my 2011 Prado which I recently purchased in Chile.
My plan is to use it for an overland trip through South America. The challenge is that it came with only one key and dealer replacement cost in Santiago is near U$900.00.
I have expended a fair amount of time in the internet trying to find a cheaper alternative only to realize that without the right frequency and region the key would not work.
I do not know if the key I have is a master or not (any help determining that as well would be appreciated).
Description of the outer shell inscriptions on my key.
"Complies with IDA Standards DA101418
CE Morocco
MR3983/2008
TOKAI RIKA
ICASA TA-2008/311"
Inscription on the inside of the key
350-2
I08
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Fabrizio
