ideas for storing on an arb roof rack??

hey there not sure if this has been covered but was wanting some ideas on how to store stuff on an arb roof rack???
arb space cases or luggage bags or a full hard case that fits on the rack.
just looking for some ideas and pics

i havent got an arb rack (rhino rack for me)but i went on a trip away over chrissy and i had a viynal rack bag made up to suit my rack,zippered on 3 sides tie down loops on corners in the middle with a velco flap covering the zipper, my bag was 1800l x 900w x 300h best $300 i ever spent, was very waterproof and keep everything dry, but it all depends what you want to carry, what did you have in mind of carrying on the rack, when i went away i had a oztrail gazebo, 4 camping chairs, 2 tables, 12 foam floormats and a few tarps, so i had to jump on the bag to close it most of the time. cheers samo

yeah that idea sounds great l only wanted to put sleeping bags chairs and those rubber floors mats mainly bedding and try and fit an oztent up there aswell for places the trailer wont go.

looking at maybe a side rack like the surfers use a 2 prong holder to attach to the side of the rack and drop the oztent in it and tie it down to suit the awning on the other side.
not alot of room in back once the 80 lt engel and draws go in :shock:
like you l would be on top jumping on the bag to get it closed

With the second addition, same issue not a lot of room, have 1500x1100 rhino rack that i borrow off a mate and i am going to get a rhino bag the same size to store the chairs, shade cover, table matraxs etc on the roof, plus you can lock it up.

I have a Space Case that fits across the back of the roof cage, with enough room for a dry bag in front of it. Works for us.

I use one of those heavy duty roof rack bags that ARB sells. Expensive but top quality. Rolls up for easy storage.

MSA Roof Bag

Here it is mounted on the Jack. On this trip I used a small basket and rails to save weight and therefore had to mount the bag side ways. It is not recomended for night travel as the reflectors are on the front and rear (when they should be on the sides). As yet, I have not used it on the Prado.

Is that how you keep a Jackaroo on the road? Tow a spare?

I use the rhino bags. Same idea and work really well. Better than the boxes for awkward shapes.
