How to tell if GX has active stability

Hi

Probably a dumb question but i am looking at a 08 D4D GX and the seller doesn't know if the car has the active stability option. The car has ABS and side airbags and I thought I read somewhere that if it has side airbags then it will also have active stability

Anyway, is there a simple way of telling? Thanks in advance

I didn't think you could get the Option 1 pack in a GX ( only GXL ) but I may be wrong.

The Warranty and Service Booklet, first page, which has all the vehicle info will tell you if it has Option Pack 1. ( look under Description ).

If it does have the Option 1 pack it will have all of the following : side/front seat airbags, traction control and stability control.
( but are you in Australia ? there might have been different option packs in other countries.)

As above but also maybe if you turn the ignition to on does the symbol light up on the instrument cluster.

I could be wrong but i had a feeling opt 1 on a GX is the leather steering wheel, cruise cont etc. Traction and stability control i think was opt 2, i would have thought it would have a DAC button down near the gearshift for the down hill assist control which was part of the pack.

If it is a manual it wont have stability control as it wasn't available with any option packs. Both manual and automatic get the airbags in option pack II. If it is automatic and has option pak II it will have stability control. The autos also got dual zone A/C with opII.
