IF your not planning on doing to many corrugated roads, or outback travel on rough roads at speed, they should be ok.
Foam cells are good for steering dampers that run horizontal, for the gas to stay in the foam, and are cheaper to make [thats why a damper is cheaper than a shock] and if they get hot, the foam lets go, and gets stuck in the valving, and they dont recover.
