  • EBay lift kits, any good?

I'm still debating suspension. Can anyOne provide comment on this kit? (below heading) Or whether any other eBay suspension kits are good? (not sure how to sent link but it's a 35mm lift for $649 with king springs.

    "Prado GRJ120 RZJ120 KZJ120 2003-09 Suspension Lift Kit Toyota Raised Springs "

    I've got a 2009 GXL.

    Cheers

I think if you stick with brand name products then buying from a GOOD ebay seller is fine. Are you planning on installing the gear yourself ? shops may charge you more because your not buying the product off them cancelling out and Ebay discounts.

I found the ebay listing and this is what is included in the kit.

Pair Raised 35mm Front Coil Springs
Pair Raised 35mm Rear Coil Springs
(Coil Springs Australian Made by Kings Springs)
Set of 2 x Matching "Ultima" 35mm Bore Nitro Gas Front Strut Assemblies.
Set of 2 x Matching "Ultima" Extended Long Travel 35mm Bore Nitro Gas Rear Shock Absorbers.

I've not heard of Ultima shocks and it doesn't mention the model of the King Springs. You don't take the plunge with suspension without knowing what load you have on board, what model the components are and what you want to achieve out of the suspension.

Oddly enough the image of the Kings Springs actually show the correct model numbers to suit a 120 (KTFR101 & 102's)

This would be the one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Prado-GRJ...item5d3254147a

Being soooo cheap would be the first thing that got me worried, As AMTS said, if you go down the path of changing springs you need to get the correct spring for your load, if they only offer a one size fits all deal then you could end up with problems.

          Cheers Andrew

An Ironman kit is not much more if you want a brand name ($850). Bluepac is another cheap but branded setup. When I was shopping around for a suspension kit, there were between $600 and $700.
