Sitting pretty now... Great result! Aware it's early days, but how does the ride feel?

The camber was out on the RHS so it was a bit tight in the steering but Im sure the wheel alignment will sort that today, the overall ride is quite solid, it feels like its on rails now! I think the old suspension was shot as it was 7 years old and 180K on the clock. There is a massive difference in the bumps, I hit a speedbump/crossing with a bit of speed and what usually would have made the drawers jump up and down barely skipped a beat.. I'll see how it settles over the next few months.

Only thing thats a worry is the LHS rubber that sits between the coil and the strut top is bulging out a bit, unlike the other side which is sitting snug under the spring. It this a big cause for concern?

After a wheel alignment I'm still getting used to the feel, It could be that im not used to it but there seems to be a bit of Left to right roll, is this whats called body roll? Would extending the rear sway bar links help?

otherwise it could be the tyre wear, there was a bit of inside wear that I didn't notice until the lift and Ive rotated since but I doubt it would make that much difference.

Andrew, could you have a look at these photos, just wondering if the links look like they are too short and would be effecting the back, should they be vertical?

Also one of the springs looks like its bulging out the top rubber mount, its correctly aligned with the position of the old spring but as its not making contact with the rubber on that side of the spring it hangs out, just looked different to the other side which sits perfect. any need to worry?

              cheers
              Ross

The rear swaybar links could be lengthened. It would be nice if they were vertical but so far I have left mine alone and it is OK so far.

The rubber does look like it has a bit of an issue. Might want to remove the spring and take a good look at the rubber. You don't want the top of the coil to be in contact with metal. It will have undesirable effects.

thanks, its not making contact with the metal as the flat bit is around the other side but it does look strange, might wait till I get some new tyres and safe myself 2 wheel alignments before I have another look. cheers

Yes, get the new tyres first before doing the alignment if the tyres are due for replacement soon.

The rubber looks like it has a step in it and has moved out of an indent/cavity in the strut top.
