As per the title, has anyone had the issue of having one of the black plastic dust covers on rear shock becoming loose? Out of warranty now but does it mean replacement?

Yes had this issue some time ago.
As you have described the black plastic cover on the rear shocker some how had popped off the top of its mounting point.
I had just refitted it and has not caused any more trouble.
It did not feel like there was much actually holding it on the shocker, but no dramas since first time.

Thanks Troy, haven't tried but sounds like it means pushing it hard to refit it back in the place then?
