  • Allignment settings after lift & aftermaket rims

    Hi,

just installed a 2" Dobinsons lift on my rig, whats a good allignment setting to dial in after the lift?

It is a daily driver and weekend desert4x4.

Any ideas of an online website that sells good quality aftermarket rims for the Prado in Aussy/USA? after the lift the tyre/rim looks tucked in. I dont like the idea of spacers, thinking of a different rim with a proper offset to get the stability and looks back.

What offset/backspace would you guys recommend?

    thanks in advance...

Having lift or not is irrelevant, sure lifting the suspension puts the alignment out and it needs to be reset, but if you where happy with the tyre wear, steering and handling before the lift then go back to these settings.

I'm not sure of the factory specs but I run the following with excellent results in regards to wear:

Camber: (left and right) 30" +

    Caster: (left and right) 1' 45" +

    Toe in: 0.5mm

I take it you are still running standard tyres, lift and standard tyres can look a bit strange. Get something with a more aggressive tread pattern (a AT or MT tyre) and it will look sweet.

Spacers are not allowed on road vehicles over here and either is having a tyre/rim combination that protrudes outside the guard, besides it's really bad for the paint work when off road

      Thanks for your reply Mick,

aftermarket rims and spacers are allowed here though (in Dubai).
