  • OME LTR's W/ 897 Ultra Heavy springs

    Guy's,

I'm making my list of parts to pick up at the ARB off-road stores while 'down there' for the GTG.

I'm looking at adding a little boost to my rear end (on the FJ). I was thinking about adding the OME 897 (Ultra heavy) springs and OME LTR shocks made for the Prado. I think they will fit well, however they are not used much here in the US.

Does anyone here have any experience with them?

What do you think about them in general as opposed to the standard 141's

I know they have to be rebuilt. How many kilometers are they good for between rebuilds?

    Thank you,

    -Ben

    Hi FlyNDrive

I was at my local ARB store getting the delux bullbar installed, whilst I was there I asked about the LTR OME setup for the Prado apparantly they don't have a kit for the Prado! I guess I'll have to look at the FOX Shocks instead, I've seen someone here in Perth with a Gun Metal Prado with the Fox Shocks installed with the external oil resevoir like the LTR, I wonder if anyone knows of this driver???

I've given ARB a heads up that you are coming... they deserve a warning

For the money, the fox are the go, the LTR's are just another monroe with a canister, overpriced, and underperform.

        They arent rebuildable.

The fox truck there was fitted out by the Fox guys while over here I believe to double check what we were thinking with the ones we have been doing.
