i run MTR's and i find them to be excellent. i traded my original tyres in when i got the car new and used the money from them to buy better tyres. only bad thing would be the noise but with the windows up i don't really notice, and i would much rather the traction gains. on road i find them good but i dont race around corners as being MT construction they will never handle as good as a dedicated road tyre. MTR's are bloody awful I would not ever have them again.
Had them on my hilux the are not perfectly round so between 80-100km/h you feel a considerable bounce on good roads such as the Hume Hwy.
MTR's Tyres were swapped under warranty by the tyre dealer (total of 9 tyres changed) the second lot were so far out of round you could not drive it over 70km/h. The 9th tyre was 20mm out of round.
Rang Goodyear head office 6 times, they kept saying a rep will call me back....I'm still waiting 2 years later.
I ditched the MTR's in favor of Cooper STT.
BFG or Coopers for me. Cooper STT are excellent.Comment

MTR's are excellent tyres. I won't go outback without them...
