BFG'S my experience
i had the same dilemma when i took delivery of my VX. Was a toss up between Cooper ATR, BFG's.
Had BFG AT on my previous 90 series. Couldn't fault them. Got 90,000km out of them!
In the end settled on BFG's as the delealer gave me a good deal.
Once on the new car, i found the first problem , because of the wider profile, the hard wheel cover doesn't fit . $500 wasted.
Next problem was a mysterious noise on right hard lock. Turned out to be the temp sensor which protrudes into the left wheel arch, rubbing the inside of the tyre. Fix it by bending the probe so it doesn't rub the tyre.
In terms of performance had no probs, although done no hardcore offroad
