    Will.
The ATR's are fancy off-road (large lugged). There strength is more for sand. I did not chip my ATR's at all, but they are not a big "mud" type pattern with large gaps which is prone to chipping. (You probably know that though)

Well, I got 94,000ks out of my Cooper ST's with minimal chipping. The only tyre to chip was the tyre that grabbed hard when I broke my rear diff.
I've now put on a set of ST Maxx an am very happy so far.
I suspect I won't get the mileage out of the Maxx's as I did from the original ST's as these are more 'mud' orientated again.
      Cheers, Leon

        'Roo,

Can't seem to find any photos or data under the "Trip Reports" about your little journey over border?

        Cheers,

        Dave

I have put the ST Maxx on my Prado and a fellow member put he same set on his 120 although his is a D4D.His are 5 months newer and 6000kms less than mine and he has small cracks on the side wall of his Maxx's where the smaller writing is below the Discoverer.Has spoken to Cooper and is waiting for a response in regards to warranty.

hey andreas when discussing warranty issues with them you could always let slip that you are a member of an australian 4wd website that has about 12000 members worldwide that are eagerly following the outcome. another tactic you can employ is to go down to your local boat shop and buy $40 worth of 6 inch high black rego stickers . these stand out very well when they read DON"T BUY (insert brand name here )TYRES ASK ME WHY with your phone no. underneath . it gets a lot of attention when parked outside the local dealer on a busy saturday . this is a tactic that i used several years ago when i took on the biggest trailer boat manufacturer and biggest boat retailer in the country . i got my full $15000 purchase price back .

No sure. It did a good job. I suspect it was a result of my antics in WA a few weeks ago. Good fun

We pulled up at the now graded Golf Links Road for what was to be a little fun before a BBQ lunch and while I stood there chatting about how bloody hot it was I spied the damage to MLCs front passenger tyre... No sure if it was there before I got out the tyre leaver! But figured we best replace it with his spare...

Luckily he wasn't looking at the time...
