    tyres = change OE

    Hi All, Ive Been shopping around a bit to get prices to change dunlop grandtreks for decent rubber ( cooper st,s 265/70r/17 ) and best ive been offered is $150 per tyre for grantreks. price given of Coopers is :- 245/70R/17 = $300 ea
    265/70R/17 = $340 ea

    whats the verdict good or bad....i used to run 245/75R/16 and they were $240 ea

    Mate, we are in Sydney and were offered $200 per tyre when we did our change over to Cooper ATR's before delivery.

      i found when trading mine it depnds on the dealers ability to off load them as they can legally only sell them as a second hand tyre, i know when i traded mine the dealer already had about 5 sets so he wasn't going to pay big bucks for another set.

        thats a top price Big Fella, no way can i get that down here, ive tried a few places now, some wont even take the dunlops.
        just out of interest do you know how much they charge for the grandtreks?

          The Grandtreks cost the dealer (yes COST price) $194 a carcass from what my mate here that runs a large tyre dealership tells me.

            I drove my Prado straight into the local Cooper dealer just before christmas and they gave me $200 per tyre trade in on the Dunlops in exchange for Cooper ATR's. The difference was an extra $84 per tyre from memory, fitted. Ive already done 4,000 kms on them in three weeks, going strong.

            Good deal i think.

              I've been offered $150 trade-in per Gradtrek on BFG All Terrains.

                Yep $150 here too. It seems to be the going rate.

                I got a change over of $800 for 5 dunlop AT3's.
