  • Rear Toe-In Readings

    Dear All ,
    Fazza Mate

A quick question ; Last Week I did my tyre rotation cycle and my tyres are great so far , however I did a wheel alignment as a safety measure to correct any missing front toe-in that was brought down from 0.9 to 0.2 which is close to 0 so I think it's ok

    However the rear wheel toe-in reads 2.2 and 1.8 L to R

I believe previously we discussed that this is not a big deal since the rear wheels are not doing any turning , and one can't fix rear toe-in any ways but would you say that 2.2 is OK for rear toe-in and if it's not ok, then how to fix it ?

    Cheers Mates :P

    Mansour,
No problems with the front toe setting,
The rear as you state is none adjustable as such, unless you what to go to the trouble of bending the axle housing.(Don't go there) cost would be prohibitive.
It would be cheaper just to replace tyres.
2.2 is a little excessive but I cannot see it causing any problems.
I also makes you wonder at the accuracy of their readings
Have you notice any excessive wear on your rear tyres :?:

    All will be well,
    Cheers,
    Fazza

      Rear Toe

      Thanks Fazza Mate

No ihadn't had any wearing yet , I will keep an eye and check

But to be honest the scorpions are very good in this department

I had to travel in between cities in the past 2 weeks and I did 5K which I usually dop in 3 months and all in speeds betweeb 140~160KM/Hr (The upper speed limit in Highways here) and the tyres are barely chipped the sides

We had downpores like what I used to experience in Sydney - Am serious here in the desert- (speaking of global warming) and the wet performance was OK OK OK

Any ways you are right about the accuracy of readings , I will keep an eye on the tyres and let you know

      Thanks A million Fazza Mate
