Lol yeh right the hardest track in Australia, not even close buddy..

I realise 6 stage is a tough one and is for 99.9% of prado's but I have a hilux comp truck and this track is seen as a fun/challenging track but by no means the hardest in Australia, most of the guys I drive the lux with 6 stage is a walk in the park lol.

My how this thread went bad quickly, though I can relate to oldies on this site talking down to people (especially younger ones) I've seen it a few times here and it nearly turned me off this forum because for a forum thats so heavily moderated and hard to get access to it has alot of trolls.

I will say but you have done well with modding your truck and full points for going where most would not dare, it's good to see some one take a chance on things, but you should have been more careful with that vid as that IS how places get locked up.. I've seen it first hand.

And glen_ep, yeh most trucks winch that big steep bit which is 3/4 or more up the hill, I couldn't drive it in my lux on 35's but I want to give it a go on my 37's, I have seen plenty drive it but including a uni mog lol

Well a very interesting thread, I was down there at the mudpit at newnes with glen and a few of the other pp members when I saw ghostridehusky with his tyre off the rim, that was me in the white 120 with the roofrack parked across from you, I was a young apprentice as well, barely 20 when I got my trade, yes I'm a boily but you get the drift, that great thing is about this site is that you get a wealth of information of ppl how are from all walks of life, ppl who are into buying a prado to take the kids to school, to ppl who tow a van around to Australia, to ppl who want to find the limits and beyond of what a prado can do, yes we all have different opinions an ideas of what can be done, and if we all had the same ideas it would be a boring old world, I've moved on from a prado to a dare I say it a bt 50, I'm happy with what I got and it's a work in progress, we can all voice our a ideas and opinions on here's let's just do it in a manner where we can take it all on board, it's a. Good place here keep it real and keep up the posts, cheers samo

                    • Well really only v rock and the 6th step is what we go for the rest is doable ... It's it's not a challenge for ya fancy Comptrucks why do you go there than?

LOL, so whats the definition of a daily driver?

I presume you consider yours a daily but with 37's and no engineering certificate it's not exactly legal is it ;-)

Most comp trucks run on 37's and are not legal.

                        So... what's the difference?

I think you'd better ask for a list of the harder tracks so you can take yours to the next level!!

Cheers Brad. It's amazing what a unimog can do at slow pace.

I'd love to know some track names

                          • My hilux was a daily and has rego and is just as legal as yours, and that is of coarse not! I bought the prado to be a more realistic n safer truck to use on the roads. That's not confusing the fact i do still drive it but I also know plenty of people that have daily's that drive it 6 stage and know its not the hardest.

And no it's not the hardest in aus, you really havnt been around the harder side of the 4wd scene to know, and by your statement im presuming you have driven every track in aus.. No, well it's a pretty bold statement to make then.

Im not trying to make out its not a hard n full on track for a prado but its by no means the hardest.

And that track glen is defined as a walking track on a map. I know plenty of them down there as ive been driving them in my lux for 10 years and was the trip coordinator for the shoalhaven 4x4 club for a while.

Don't get your back up ghost rider, im just stating a fact that what you were saying was incorrect. But we'll done on the fact that you have the balls to abuse a prado to get it to the top.. I won't in mine but thats not what it's for, that's what I have the hilux for.

Glen I've moved to wa and my lux is in nsw, I'd happily show u around yawal in jan when im back home if you havnt already been there.

                            • Ohh and just for some cudos (or how ever its spelt) that weekend a number of trucks went up 6 stage, there was of coarse 2 patrols abandoned there over night, one a bush rangie (fibre glass shell on gq classy n running gear) broke both front axles, front diff, and a rear axle and the other was a 2.8 gq wagon that burnt out a brand new clutch trying to climb it then snapped his winch rope, it was pretty much a 2 day recovery to get them up.

So yeh it's hard and interesting to hear you drove it but still stand by my comment... 'Its not the hardest in aus'
