gday fello pradosians, im new to this site and am wondering how large of a tyre size i can go without doing a lift, current size is 265/65 r17 any help would be gratefully appreciated.
They will fit but will rub on front when turning, they will chew off the front mudflaps, they will also touch the front inner sway bar on hard lock ( not really an issue)
My Wrangler MT/Rs in 265/70R17 fits pre-lift with no issues. The tyres with the squarer shoulder blocks will rub in places mentioned above. But mine didn't.
cheers guys, so i guess just to be safe a lift would be preferable, i always lift my 4x4's but i was wondering with the distance between the guards on the prado i would'nt need one, i usually put on maxxis A/T do you know if they make them at the upgraded size because they are a great ride and quiet on-road as-well as good on the beach??

Same size until you run different offset rims and change the uca's.

As Bill said, also for me, if I was to go up a size I would want to change diff ratios as well, 265/70's give me as taller gearing as I am comfortable with.
Cheers Andrew
