If you are in Pilbara stay away from Coopers... They don't like sharp rocks and heat.... Have a look at Mickey Thomson MTZ's / Goodyear MTR's... New BFG muds could be another option but the are untested yet...

Those 265/65/17 don't look to bad... slightly illegal, but I'm worried they might throw up rocks and damage the metal arches...

I'll get the 245/70r17, and once i get a lift, and the tires wear down, I'll get those colour coded replica flares (or maybe in leave them in black, since my prado is very black and green allready), along with some decent sized rubber, might even get black steel wheels

LC120_man, for now my project up in Pilbara is finnished, and now I'm working on a project for Senegal in Africa... Unfortunately my work doesnt require me to use my own personal car, so it is safe for me to get tyres for Perth and surounding enviroment...
Ofcourse, I plan to go up to pilbara again for hollidays, but hopefully the tires should last the distance.

At the moment I have Wrangler MT/Rs on my old jeep, that I'll be passing down to a mate tomorrow night. And the nice thing about them (appart from the surprisingly good road holding ability for a muddie) is they come with a insurance at $15 per tyre... Apparently if i get puncture they (Goodyear stores nation wide) will repair them free of charge, and if i blow them up they will replace it, offcourse i will have to pay a bit depending on how much Tread depth has been left on it.
