I don't have a GPS per-say but there are iPhone app's that do what seems the same thing. I'm not sure how accurate they are. If you have a phone app have you ever put it up against your GPS? If so what results have you had?

Just wanted to check if anyone knows if the MT 4 Rib 265 70 17 are legal on the 120 prado?

Depends what state you are in. I think they are legal in some states depending on the amount of lift you have but I can't remember exactly.

Definitely not legal. Or to make it legal, you will have to get it engineered, which will cost about $300. However, it doesn't look massively big like some I have seen on the roads. My muddies are 265/70R17 but I only put them on when going on a trip. Otherwise its the quiet AT20s around town. Less attention from the cops too.

I have them on my 120(which is up for sale) and the insurnace company have no issues with it, as I checked with them, the police have no issues, as they are glad the tyres have tread on them.
I am about to put thes eon my new 150 also

In QLD they are not legal. The maximum over size you can go is about 15mm total rolling distance so half that in lift. Apparently QLD is one of two states that has not moved forward in this area.

Every third 4x4 seems to have at least that size if not larger up here. Unless your doing the wrong thing and draw attention the cops leave you alone and I have yet to hear anyone tell me their insurance didn't pay up although technically your vehicle would not be covered.

I'm about to put the 265/70/17 Mickey Thomson ATZ-4RIB on my rig with confidence.

No no no Hazza! Don't do it! Your breaking the law and I strongly recommend that you think twice about this decision. And just to make you feel better, I will make the sacrifice and reluctantly take them off your hands and risk my life and others around me and place them on my own Prado. Yes I know.... But it's the least I could do for a fellow Qlder!
