Hey guys new to the forum but the read in the tyre section helped alot for me to choose some tyres for my 2004 Prado. For anyone interested i booked mine in for 265 65 R17 BFG A/T at Hawthorn (Vic Melb.) Tyrepower for $305/per tyre rang alot of places that was the best price by far i could get.

Yea i was pretty happy to get the cheapest price from the place the closest to work!

Got them put on today looks and feels alot better then the grandteks, suprising how quiet they are for these sort of tyres.

I just need to get rid of all this blue crap they spray over the tyres not sure if its from the factory? Some sort of greasy blue film on the front of the tyres. Ive never seen that before.

The blue stuff is to protect the white lettering (I think). I just wiped mine off with a rag and some water. Came off pretty easy. It does come off by itself but it takes a while (Took 6 months to come of by itself on my mates car but his lazy and never washes it )

Just had a good mate around he got some couple weeks back (LT 265/65/17) fitted for $290 on his Paj, his compressor arrived this week, so might be time to put some new boots on my baby.

Very good price!....mmm i gotta follow up this compressor this week i went on the website and the tyrepower i went to wasn't on the drop down menu. Not sure if it is to limited stores only? Pain in the neck, will have to go to the store next few days.

Just had some BFG AT 265 70/17 put on our car today. (GTG here we come)

$330.00 a tyre for 5.

Got them from Tempe Tyres in Sydney. In and out, in around 30 minutes. Happy with that.

Getting 5 LT265/65/17's fitted, balanced at Bob Jane Rockhampton for $324 each, including tyre disposal. Wheel alignment $28.50! Gotta love lease plans prices 8)

Hi Guys,

I got quoted for 265/65/17 for $338, but I asked him (Gary) if he can do better and he did it for $325 each, at Tyre Plus Mirrabooka, but they don't have any instock until mid October 2010.

Hi all

Picked up a set of 265/65/R17 last week in Canberra for $312 each, Jax Quickfit seem to be the best place to buy them.

The original Dunlop Grand Treks did 82,000km mainly on tarmac at 38 psi.

Hopefully the BFG will do the same or better.
