Hi All just wanted to give an update on the Cooper ST that i have been running.
Have commented in previous topics about the great run out the of the Cooper ST's i have had. Running LT265/70/R17.
Just got back from a trip up through central QLD and looked at the back 2 and thought it was time to change them, but after just over 160,000 kms I am not about to complain esepcially since i had bought 2 new for the front before i left Melbourne last September at 135,000 and dealer thought 5-10k so when i finally bought the next two 25k later I was stoked.
The dealer in Warwick could not have been more helpful too. Got them in overnight as he didnt have them in stock and then got 3 guys to do the change over as i was in a hurry.
I have had a lot of conversations recently about Coopers not lasting, having to be fussy with tyre pressures and rotations and while I have no doubt that all this would help lengthen the life of the tyre i have to admit that i have been very lazy on all fronts except wheel alignments which i have done every 20k. NOrmal day to day I run 34psi, highway i run 38psi, sand i run 18-20psi
With my job i am off road in muddy orchards on a daily basis and have lived and toured extensively around the NSW & Vic high country as well as the annual trip to Fraser so it is not like the tyres only ever see high action either. Looking at my log book i would suggest that as much as 1/3 my current Km is off road is varying conditions from bogged up to the doors slop like today to hard shale of the Vic HIgh COuntry so needless to say i am one big Cooper ST fan.
