    Gday All
I am in the market for a set of tyres and my research has narrowed it down to 2 brands BFG and Maxxis both good rubber with fellow owners giving points to both. However after using Hancooks in the NT for a number of years on Troopies I am struggling to find a dealer in north Qld. I heard a rumour that the importer is based in WA and has not yet rediscoverd the east coast?? Is there any truth in this and does Hancook put out a 265/65 R17??
    looking forward to your replies

    Hi MRTAD
Yes Hankook do a 265/65 X 17 I was recently quoted $220 a tyre in Newcastle NSW, I didn't go down the Hankook route and have just put some Pirelli ATR's on at $289 a tyre. The Hankooks were called an RA23 if this helps you out.
    Cheers

        Re: Hancooks

A couple years back I was looking at the Hankook ATm (RF10?) in 265/65/17. A decent looking all terrain tyre and was quoted about $210 ea. However I discovered the load rating in that size was only 110 whereas the Prado requires 112. That's one thing to look at and consider as they don't specify the load rating of all their tyre sizes on their website.

I had no idea that the Prado required a load rating of 112? Is that applicable to both Long and Short wheel base models?
