It's a Safari snorkel , the vibration has started with the hot weather and using the A/C . I'm wondering if there's any adjustment possible at the mounting bracket on the pillar to move the snorkel out from the body ?
Cheers Ross
Mine was doing that. What it was, was a loose bolt which is located under the air filter in the air box itself. So open your air box pull your filter out and you will see two bolts that hold the air box to the vehicle body. Under those bolts are a rubber bushing with a metal rod through the center of it. These will most probably be worn and need replacing if the bolts are still tight.
Just had a Safari snorkel fitted by ARB and we have a rattle when first starts up this last for a minute or two until it has warmed up. The sales persons from ARB said his did it to and was a rattle in the motor that was being accentuated by the snorkel being fitted, can anyone shed some more light on this for us?
I had an airtec fitted by TJM, had a rattle and annoyed the piss out of me. Found out the meshing on the inlet is reasonably loose in the slot. A little tap here and there fixed it.
I had an airtec fitted by TJM which developed a rattle. It was just the poor installation effort. Two self tappers drilled into frame which they managed to stripped. So I ended up replacing them with nutserts. Problem solved and lesson learned about TJM installation.

Just goes to show how different stores do things differently Hutch. Like Wazza said in the other post if I need TJM products in the future I will head to Brendale, will certainly never give any more money to Coopers Plains for installation.
