Right now I am in the States so I have some time to think about what rear wheel carrier to get. Question: Is there any 150 Prado owners that have a twin wheel carrier fitted to their Prado from Kaymar? They look great but I am a bit concerned about the wings at the side that end up with no support once the bar has been fitted. I am talking about the plastic guards just above the steel bar. They just hang there which is not good. Some input before I spend the bucks would be gratefully appreciated.

Thank you mate. I spoke to ARB up in the Sunshine Coast and they said those bars don't really do the job. They help but there is still a lot of flex. Have you heard anything about that?

For another alternative have a look at Dereks rig in the build thread. He has the opposite lock carrier fitted that goes through the bumper at the rear and leaves the factory sides untouched. Its a good looking bit of kit but i believe it extends the length of thr vehicle further than the kaymar.Last edited by rwo; 25-03-2013, 07:29 AM.

Mate ask Derek11 about his rear bar. Not Kaymar. Below is the link some nice photos. Looks like less cutting to fit too.

Yes I have one fitted and more than happy with it to date. You will find pictures of it in my rig build up. I know some others prefer some of the other brands but I would fit one again if needed. Also had one on my 80 Series a number of years ago. Was originally going to go colour coded but decided to go standard black with both bull bar and rear bar to give a good contrast with the white vehicle.

No they are solid. I must admit when it was being fitted I thought the same but it has turned out OK.
