Hi all,
I've been told by ARB that fitting a towbar requires an 'ECU' otherwise the trailer wiring can cause problems with LED lights. By ECU I assume they mean a device that senses the tail light signals without adding any load to them, and then drives the trailer lights itself.
I've only just bought my 2014 model Prado GXL and still discovering things. As such I wasn't aware of the prado having LED tail lights/indicators.
Has anyone else found problems with trailers causing problems with the vehicles lights without some form of 'ECU' helping out?
AB
