Nudge bar 2014 (facelift) 150 series

I have a Jan 2014 build Prado with a dealer fitted Toyota nudge bar. The rubber surrounds do not fit evenly and do not follow the profile of the bumper. The gap ranges from about 10mm at the top to over 20mm at the bottom. It does not look like the one in the brochure. Dealer says it is as good as it gets. Does any one else have this?

Update. Dealer has been very good and rectified now. Apparently the fault was with the nudge bar mounting brackets, one was a different length to the other, fixed under a warranty claim.

yes ,my nudge bar rubber same as your described. would you pls send rectified picture? is there no gap between rubber and bumper when rectified? thanks

Sorry, I am not home at the moment but will send a photo later. There is a gap between the rubber and bumper, I was advised this was to stop rubbing which seems reasonable. The gap is now about the same (guessing 10mm to 15mm) all round.

I take it the facelift means the old 150 Nudge bars no longer fit?

I believe the old 150 nudge bars are the same as the facelift versions,

except now it's more involved because you need to cut a rather large hole in the bar for the brackets to pass thru where in the earlier one there already was a hole

Hmmmm, thanks for the post but I don't think so. The brackets on the old nudge bar don't line up with any mounting structures on the facelift prado.

Yeah i think your right, looks like they redesigned the brackets as well on the facelift version

Oh well my bad, but must say it took me a good 4 hours to put the nudge bar on, lots of cutting of the bar and behind it, wouldn't of tackled it if i'd known

Hey, look at the bright side - the old nudge bar looks better than the facelift one, at least in my opinion!
