Installation instructions for 150 genuine Toyota bullbar

im currently as im typing installing ( or trying to ) a genuine toyota bullbar on a kakadu. Ive hit a road block and cant find instructions any where on you tube as there all for arb or iron man. Rang 2 of my local CMI toyota dealerships for fitting instructions but they wouldnt give them to me as i didnt buy the bar there. Let alone i did buy the kakadu from them - fat chance next time round.

anyway, if any one has any suggestions or knows where i can download installation instructions would be very helpful as the wife has a school run in the morning. would be a huge help & thanks in advance.

Toyota told me they had to remove the rear bumper to check my 120 Tow Bar (TB) for distortion during a recent recall of TB's with Hayman Reese adjustable load levelling goosenecks in a safety check. I would assume you should also have to remove the bumper to get access to fit a new TB.

Should be straight forward, I assume that high tensile steel bolts with nyloc nuts would be employed in fitting a TB also.

This is for a 120, not the same I know but may help with some of the brackets and braces as the vehicles aren't that far different front end wise:

120 Factory bar install.

hi spike,

no i didnt have them. ended up getting it on there finished around midnight that night. seems to be fitted on ok, afew nuts & bolts left over.......

did you have a copy? maybe i should take alook & see what ive left out. cheers for the reply

Hi Guys,

I Have also just bought a Genuine Toyota alloy bull bar off ebay and are planning on installing onto my 2011 GX, just wondering if anyone came across the fitting instructions, found the one for the 120. Thought would try on here first before trying my dealer.
