Hi all. Have been following this thread as I'm in the market for a bar, just purchased a new 150 facelift. I really like the AFN type 3. We all agree they look great, but what is the build quality like compared to the other common household names. Wolf 4x4 may be able to answer this one, does the type 3 come with fogs or are they extra, if so how much? One last Q do most underbody protection plates mount to the bull bar, do you have to buy the same brand or is there a standard mounting point they bolt to?? TIA

      Hi Jaster,

AFN build quality is right up there with the other 3 letter companies They are a premium brand, with a premium product.

The Type 3 comes with fogs.

Most underbody protection mounts to the chassis (as is also the case with AFN). There are protection plates / splash guards that fit under the bar (included), but they are not really to be considered as "underbody protection".

Can't say it appeals to me but it's hard to say just off a photo.

Never thought I would see the day that ARB make an alloy bar, I like the look of it.

Alloy bar.... no thanks. As I wright this I'm polishing my tinny thinking I wish I got it painted. Plus this bar wouldn't make a difference if you hit a roo without one.

and the channel section is still cutting off the parkers/drl's. Looks like it was designed for the older face.

so many negatives its not for me.
