Hey ladies and gents,

I've had my prado kakadu for a month now, successfully relocated the front camera so far .
I've been googling like crazy and can't find the name of the perspex piece you can mount to the top of your bullbar to prevent stones hitting the windscreen. Failing that could someone give me some advice on how to design one?

Wouldn't it just be a stone guard? I thought they went on the front edge of the bonnet

My windscreen has been hit twice in a month, both on the lower half. I'd rather break some Perspex than another windscreen. Is there another way kav?

Those Perspex things you are looking at are not cheap to replace, up near $100 for the Perspex. To fit them you also have to drill holes in your bonnet, not something I would be doing to my Prado. Get glass coverage added to your insurance policy and get the chips fixed no excess, cheaper again. These deflectors don't stop all the stones anyway, you would have to get lucky for it to actually work in my opinion.

Are the stone chips coming from oncoming vehicles . I imagine you would have to tailor make one to suit your bullbar . Realistically it will end up costing probably close to the cost of a new windscreen and may or may not solve the problem .
