On the weekend I installed the ARB CKMP12 air compressor under the passenger seat and thought I would post some pics and ideas.
I bought the portable compressor that comes in the box with the idea I would get in installed at a later date by ARB ($200). But with the help of a friend decided to tackle it ourselves and glad I did.
The good thing about the portable version is it comes on a bracket and has the switch already mounted.
First thing was to remove the seat, easy enough just for bolts and disconnect the wires underneath.

Under the carpet is a 6mm threaded hole ready which I used for the front left hole in bracket.![Click image for larger version

Rear left I drilled a hole in the floor (comes through just above chassis rail but enough room to get a nut on.
Front right is a 6mm bolt through bracket into a 10mm spacer and this one just rest on floor.

The rear right is a 6mm bolt into the aluminium flat bar that goes from the front left bolt to the rear right seat bolt.
All the bolts go through the bracket and a 10mm spacer so the compressor sits of the floor.

Chopped of the alligator clips and ran the cable under the carpet to door jam plastic trim up behind glove box, through firewall and to the battery and replaced the inline fuse in situ.![Click image for larger version

Nice and sturdy, Connect the hose, flick on the switch pump away. Added bonus that the aircon can keep it cool too. Very happy
