Which battery?

I made a small plate out of 3 mm thick steel and drilled 2 holes in it.
unbolted the bracket holing the pipe clamp and bolted the new plate to the existing threaded hole where the clamp was.
Bolted the clamp to to the new plate in the second hole.
From memory the plate i made was 20mm X 40 mm the holes were spaced about 10mm apart so it moved the pipe clamp about 10 mm as the pipe clamp is rubber mounted i flexed back a bit..
i did not bend the pipe i just pushed it out.
Would of liked a bigger battery but did not want to push the pipe out any further.
As it is the 75AH battery meets my requirements.
2-3 days running the fridge as a freezer depending on temp before low voltage cutout.
Not very often the car would sit for 2 days without being driven when we are away, but have a solar panel to use if parked up for a couple of days.

It comes with a small bracket that bolts to the existing aircon pipe bracket hole and the existing bracket bolts to that moving the pipe over about 20 mm. You can see the bracket in one of their photos although it is a little blurry

Gday Ian, what size battery does that allow you to fit in there.. I've only got a 65ah at present.. Would like to be able to place something a little bigger.. The 65ah is due for replacement, so while I'm at it, would make sense..Cheers Odog

its best to try and put a brace from the battery bracket to the front upper cross member to restrict forward backwards rocking of the battery, as it is that motion that contributes to cracking the bodywork under the battery. You could easily make something up or get a short metal brace made up.

Owen Gibb did mine in the Prado and in the trailer. They are very good. They wired my Prado for the fridge as well as extra outlets in the back to keep phones, Ipads and laptops charged.

I notice you are in Quenbeyan, the guys out at Gibbs Auto electrical just yesterday put a Century marine Pro 720 in my 120 Series. it is 100ah and they are on sale at BCF at the moment for 20% off. I am charging mine with a BCDC 1225 not the 1240 so not sure if this battery would be suitable for the bigger redarc charger. Might be worth asking anyway.

Mine is a 75ah. Measured it up and 100 wouldnt fit
