So had Prado no. 2 for a couple of months now and decided to finally install my dual compressor since I was robbed of my 80 which I was going to put it in first. Now I've seen the engine bay and under seat but I've got dual batteries and don't like the under seat idea. My first Prado was a gxl so this time I've opted for a gx which suits my needs better , since it's a gx and no a/c in the back I knew there would be a little bit of room in there so here's a pic of final mounting of the compressor.

I am looking to add an outlet near the towbar but am worried about the fittings getting clogged with dust etc.

How much difference has adding the air tank made? I have the same compressor currently under the seat but I'm thinking of moving to the rear panel like yours and wondering if I should add the tank while I'm going. As I doubt I will ever run air tools or lockers in the future I'm wondering if its a worthwhile mod or just overkill. Currently I have it powered off the main battery by moving it to the back I would either have to extend the power cables I think they are 8 b&s, would voltage drop be an issue over that distance, or power from Aux which I have a fuse box in the back.
Regards
