just wondering if anyone has a ground grabber sand anchor and what their opinion is, i currently have the arb PRT(portable rescue tree) only ever had to use it in sand and it was really useless, i was stuck in some really bad beach sand pretty much quick sand and trying to use that PRT to winch off resulted in an hour digging effort to recover the tree after i finished digging the car out. i normally dont travel in a group so trying to be tottally self sufficient is a must for me. (make the jokes but this was in a tj wrangler with dual diff locks 32" tyres and tyre pressure of 12psi)
i am also aware of using burried logs and spare tyres as a sand anchor point but having done it befor it is alot of effort to make the hole and thiers no worse feeling than digging for a couple of hours and having the anchor tear out of the ground not to mention when you are stuck on a tide line with a sinking car you dont really have the option of time.
