While doing some work on the console today I decided to check my cabin pollen filter so pulled the glovebox lid off. I remembered reading about pulling the glovebox lid all the way open and squeezing in the sides to free the plastic guide pins. Unfortunately I forgot about the little arm on the LHS and pulled it right out. I've managed to get it back in the hole it came out of but it doesn't seem quite right, seems to catch when I'm closing the glovebox. I've consulted my service manual CD and done a lot of searching of these forums but can't find specific info on the arm. Is it meant to be attached to something next to the glovebox (i.e. inside the glovebox outer frame)?

Doesn't have the elastic retainer string like the 120 has on the right? The fiddly bastard that has to be positioned precisely over a little screw in order for it to retain properly and stop the lid from falling past it's normal opening position.Dave

Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China.
