I tried to get the dealer to supply only but they insisted that the only way I was getting them was to have them installed. So I decided to give them a go, lesson learnt, they are going back on.

Not sure why he isn't doing them, I have a contact that I'm going to show the flaps to and see if he is interested in making them as there is still a market for them as I don't think the new ones will suit people that do some serious off roading.

See ya on the tracks, Richp.
If you figure out where to get the material to make these again let me know, im busting to get a replacement for my left rear, and no-one wants to give up there GR's.

Great news folks Frank from Gravel Rush rang me yesterday, he has started up again and has sent me his contact details, he will be back in production shortly so I will put his contact details up tomorrow, this is great news as the new flaps still don't protect the rear guard.
      See ya on tracks, Richo.

          • Mine have been on order for a few weeks, not sure when they will arrive as these are the first this dealer has ordered.

They did comment that they wont be as effective due to th suspension lift but definitely better than the old ones.

              • Spoke too Frank, he is hoping to have material in 4-6 weeks. Since ive been trying to get replacements parts from him for so long, he is going to make a batch of rears only for me first off. Watch this space.

                • Longer flaps fitted under warranty today, considering Toyota isn't letting it's customers know about the flaps and there were 3 other 150's being serviced at the dealership I made sure they were aware of it also. Looks like PP and word of mouth is going to be the only way people find out about the longer flaps.

I'd suggest a lot of people don't really care...

Agree, it's only a problem if you do lots of dirt driving.

                      • It doesn't take much driving on dirt before your rear quarters are sand blasted

                        • Just booked my next service & requested the mudflap upgrade under warranty, dealer claimed total ignorance until I quoted him the part numbers (as posted in this thread by Riv39. Thanks mate).

This was my fourth request for a solution, so strike up another one for PP.

Flaps are now on order & will be fitted at service or shortly after if not immediately available.
Surprise surprise, dealer has longer front flaps in stock, but longer rear flaps are on back order from Japan.
Claims all 4 must be replaced in one go to qualify under warranty.

As these are retrofit under warranty, I assume they're imported as a set of four, and wonder who's paying to have longer rears fitted?.

I also got told by my dealer that they come as a set of four for warranty. Have been waiting a long long time for them all to come in, the fronts came in first and was waiting on the rears. Mine is booked in for replacement and rear bumper respray next week.

                            Cheers

I've only got two visible chips in the rear bumper, and one in the passengers door (so far).
Hope the bumper respray is a warranty job.

I still wonder, who's buying our rear replacements.
