I noticed a number of times yesterday when i changed from Reverse to Drive, when i started to drive traction control would cut in - the light would flash, the pedal would do its thing making noises and moving etc... any suggestions?

Mine does this from time to time. Usually when driving off when the wheels are turned. Only happened a hand full of times since I've had it so not really concerned.150 GXL V6 Auto.
