Optima Yellow Top D31A

Has anyone tried to fit an Optima Yellow Top D31A battery in place of the original battery.

I have measured the space and its looks like it would fit - just, maybe!!

Would love to here from some one that has done it and can confirm it fits. Not keen on buying a $400 battery only find it will only fit my boat, and I still need to buy a battery for the Prado.

G'day Pinko. What vehicle is this going into? A mate has a D31M installed in his 120 D4D which fits OK (same size as D31A, on Blue top with accessory posts) I have the D27M which is a bit shorter (308mm vs the D31 325mm).

Sorry it's a 150 D4D,

Figured as I posted it in the 150 electrical section I didn't need to point it out, that said I often read by the New Post tab which means its not all ways obvious.

Thanks for the reply. If I do take that road and it doesn't fit, I have a friend with a 120 that would be happy to take custody.

Like I said, I have measured but it is close, very close!

I have the ARB battery tray fitted and the optima blue top D34M just fits neatly, only problem is the 55A/h capacity. This however is offset by the quick recharge time and the 180A/h VRLA UPS battery I have in the rear. Measurements for the D34M are 254x174x198mm and it weighs in at just under 20Kg.
