  • Petrol Pirhana Battery Tray question

Hi all, this may have been covered but I can't find exactly what I want to know. All the threads I've found are on diesel's.

I've got a 150 V6 and slowly putting together a dual battery setup, nothing fancy just a redarc isolator and hotwire for fridge. I've bought a Pirahna tray but when I purchased it I wasn't told I had to cut the power steering bracket to make it fit. I'm not fussed if thats the case, but I get nervous about doing that myself. I found this out when I opened the box and read the rather basic instruction sheet.

My question is, has anyone here done it themselves or left it to the shop to fit? A link to a thread with pics would be great, I can't find one for the petrol install apart from the same instruction sheet I have here.

Looking forward to some quick help, I'm supposed to be findng addresses to send wedding invites out but I'd rather be fiddling with the car.

Needed to do the same thing on the OffRoad Downunder Battery Tray Reggie. The instructions that came with my Tray was simple to follow and everything fitted up OK.Link on the OffRoad Downunder tray Here

Almost, looking at that one it looks like the power steering backet is relocated but on the Piranha one they want me to cut the legs off the bracket and drill new mounting holes to fit it to the tray itself. Bit nervous about killing genuine brackets.

Needed to cut the leg off and fold also reggie. I'ts either that or buy a new bracket to modify... Either way it requires modification. If you're not confident, perhaps there's a member over your way who may help out over a few cold ones?

I'm sure I could do it but just want to know more about it. The instructions were basic to say the least. Plus the missus has made it clear I better not **** up the car hahaha

Got around to doing it, bit concerned about the small power steering hose against the Ac pipe so I'm going to cable tie a thin piece of rubber between them. It's tricky because you have to allow space to remove the air box clips when you mount the power steering reservoir.
