Oil Filter part number confirmation 2014 Facelift D4D

Hi guys,

I've searched high and low and I'm getting mixed signals regarding the part number of the Oil filter required for the 2014 Facelift D4D. I'm about to buy 10 genuine from ebay and all of the sellers have these tables that claim that the 90915-YZZD2 is not compatible with the Facelift? However, it's still the 1KDFTV engine, so I'm figuring they're fine...

Anyways, before I buy. I'd really appreciate it if any of the experts out there on PP could confirm the part is correct. Am looking to by 10x from the following seller for $89 + Free Postage: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/10-x-Genu...0602#vi-ilComp

Derek that is the correct filter for your facelifted 2014 D4D Prado.

Its also a very good price. Almost too good?

I was 99% certain it was the correct part. And yes, I figured it was a pretty good price considering most people are asking $20+ for a single filter. (Not sure what Toyo are charging). I'm actually quite confident that the seller is legit. Has a good reputation and seems to sell a lot of stuff. There's plenty of others on ebay selling 10x filters for around $100 - $110.

Just following up this thread...

I did my Oil and filter change yesterday and the filter part number on the factory filter that I pulled out was 90915-20003. It looked identical to the 90915-YZZD2 that I had bought. I went ahead and replaced it with the YZZD2, but now I'm wondering if maybe there's something ever so slightly different between the two models...

Anyone out there aware of any differences?

I had the uncool experience a few months back of my dealer NOT changing the factory oil filter at the 10k service. During this debacle I learnt that the factory filter and replacement filters have different part numbers stamped on them. I think that you are ok.

The reason being is the 90915 20003 is the Japanese part number for the filter, the part sold in Australia is the same, but has a part number of 90915 YZZD2, on a new Hilux it has a different part number again (90915 TB003 I think) all for the same filter. All good
