Not using one myself but I have heard that the K&N brand ones (or others that need oiling) are useless for offroad as they can't just be cleaned out with an air compressor.
I have a K&N in ours but only became it came with it. I already had the cleaning stuff for it so keep it in. Saves me buying new filters and I clean the MAF sensor at each service. We don't do any high dust 4wding so no concern for us.
2007 GXL V6 - ARB Bullbar with LED lights, snorkel, extractors, 2 1/4" dual exhaust, K&N filter, dimpled/slotted rotors, headrest dvd players, Ebay Satnav/reverse camera, GME 3100TX, Tigerz11 Side awning on custom brackets with Maxtrax mounts, 300W Invertor, ARB Underbody protection, Lightbar and STZ 265/70 tyres.
Wish list in order I'll get them: Sliders, 2" lift, E-locker, Winch bar with winch.
Do you really need to clean the MAF sensor every 10k? What is the benefit of doing it that often? Where does it fit in the Toyo service schedule? Thanks.
I clean it so it doesn't get an oil build up from the filter.
