Hey is anyone familiar with Oil Catch Cans, I have been told they are a benefit in prolonging the life of the engine can anyone expand on this for me.

After doing a full egr /manifold clean i found a vacuum type line running from the bottom of the intercooler to the front of the manifold. This thing was dumping a large amount of oil into the front 2 ports of the head this with egr gasses made a sloppy mesh of no1 clyinder. I had to dig the mess out with a soup spoon and 5 cans of carb clean.
