  • 4WD Supa Centre Exhaust

    Hey guys,

As the title says, has anyone fitted the Dominator 4WD Supa Center exhaust to their 3.0L Prado?
They are having a special at the moment and wants some feed back.

Do they drone? Do they sound ok? How was fitment?

    Cheers

I'm interested too. If you're not in a hurry keep track of the pricing for a bit - it goes up and down all the time. They are always "on special" because "the accountants aren't watching" or something similar. Sometimes their stuff is more "on special" than other times! Watch for the leadtime as well - their "immediate delivery" stuff can take 3-5 days to be sent and some of the other stuff can take 1-2 months (I think you're pre-buying the stuff before they ship it from China/etc)

I am watching with interest was only looking at it last night, l like that it has the egt sensor port. Other members have reported a drop in torque with the 3" system but, so was hesitant to go with a full system vs just changing out the centre muffler.

I bought one a few months ago, ill quote my post from the "What did you do to your 120" thread:

Installed the 3" exhaust from 4wdsupacentre, it fitted up fine and cleared the rear axle with no problems.

The noise level is only slightly louder then before, driving with the windows up and aircon on the change in noise is very subtle. With the windows down or outside the car the note is deeper, and better sounding and you can hear the turbo more. I've only done a 20km test drive so far, but the fuel usage increased 1l/100km probably due to more liberal use of the go pedal to hear the note and feel the power difference.

Its picked up a few kw in power, nothing earth shattering but the change is noticeable and there's less of a flat spot in the lower rev ranges. So pretty happy given the cheap price of these exhausts.
I've now done a few thousand k's and no issues at all, pretty happy with it for the price. Fuel usage did come down according to the ScanGuage, but only slightly. The father in law also got one for his D4D Hilux after seeing mine, his had a few dents in the muffler section from transport but it didnt effect usage of it and it fitted up just fine also.
