Is the a Cat in my Glovebox?

Has anyone noticed a purring type of noise coming from the area around the glovebox? I have noticed it a few times when I have had to stick my head in the passengers footwell. Can only hear it with the car off. Sometimes it there sometimes its not. Does it when car is hot & cold but only sometimes...

Any ideas?

I haven't heard the cat, but I'd rather that than the "snap, crackle, pop" which comes from my dash whenever it gets warm.

Might be your heater fan running and only does it with your ignition on. Just a guess...
