Mixed UK reviews - poor one from Which magazine...:o(

Which Magazine (a well respected UK independent consumer magazine) only gives the 150 one star for performance and not a great write up generally... strangely they gave the 120 3 stars for performance complaining this latest engine is noisy etc. I must say I don't agree - my engine is very quiet and much more responsive than the 120 I had before... they say.......

and they say a lot more - not all of it bad! - 'fith gear' (a UK motoring programme a bit more focussed on vehicles than say 'Top Gear') .....gives it a much better write up. I'm happy with it although it does have one or two niggles - just like any cars does.... still a marked improvement IMO on the 120...

Looks like there is shortly to be a 190 bhp 'anniversary' model out soon 'which UK' still only give this one star for performance.

coming from a country renowned for its bad teeth, bad fashion and even worse cars, this does not surprise me. Their opinions arent that highly regarded.

Yes - interesting opinions - I wonder if Which magazine gave the segway a good review; or the flatbed truck following the LandRover?

I always found UK reviews pretty much biased against Japanese brands. The ratio on UK roads is much lower than in Oz. I would probably go for the softer Land Rover if I just stayed on British bitumen but here it's a much different market. At least the indicators are on the right side with the Jap brands.

Well that does it. I always thought that Which Magazine was the epitome of motoring excellence. To save face I have no option but to sell my 150. Damn.

In Australia, this is actually an advantage because our roads are so bad (potholed and lumpy) that the extra weight keeps the Prado nicely on the road without jumping and lurching all over the place.

Umm, slow down before you reach the corner....

I take all reviews with a grain of salt. Some are written by respected journalists, others are written by Schmucks.

Unfortunately the prado will never match their landrover for fuel economy because they never factor in the 347 days a year the Landy is either on a hoist or on a flatbed? And yes the prados heavy but so was the landrover before everything fell off it. Pffft they clearly have no idea.
